Though it started life as a WWII U.S. Army Air Force base known as Hendricks Field, Sebring International Raceway has gained notoriety across the globe and is now one of the longest continuously-operating race tracks in the United States.
Its history and status on the international racing circuit makes Sebring the ideal location to end the inaugural Legends of Motorsports season. Opened in 1950, the challenging 17-turn, 3.7-mile course still uses portions of the original concrete runways, making for some rough transitions that are known to keep drivers and engineers on their toes. Hosting the 12 Hours of Sebring since 1952, the circuit has become legendary and the annual endurance race has become a proving ground for sportscar teams aiming to prepare their cars for the 24 Hours of LeMans.
Featured marque and run group information is expected to be announced shortly, as well as news regarding the weekend's automotive lifestyle events and social gatherings.
